The Delta Project began as group of deaf and hearing dancers working together to create and perform dance. Moving beyond a 'community' based project, the Delta Project, by considering the particular needs of deaf dancers, aims to enable dancers who are deaf to work alongside hearing dancers in a full and professional capacity.
In July and August 2013, The Delta Project and Dancehouse, with the support of City of Yarra and Arts Access Victoria, will host a series of workshops for deaf and hearing dancers.
The workshops, taught by established local teachers and dance makers, will cover a range of contemporary dance practices.
Lina Limosani - 7 & 14 July
Martin Hughes - 21 & 28 July
Olivia Millard - 4 & 11 August
Date: 7, 14, 21 & 28 July
4 & 11 August
Cost: $15 per workshop, Dancehouse members/Deakin students $10
The workshops will be open to deaf AND hearing dancers with contemporary dance experience. Interested dancers are asked to forward their name, address to firstname.lastname@example.org
