Dancehouse is on Wurundjeri Country. We offer our respects to the Wurundjeri woi-wurrung people — and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people — who continue to dance on Country, and have done, for thousands of generations. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Presented as a part of Dance (Lens).

David Rosetzky has been collaborating on his film and video installation projects with Melbourne choreographers such as Jo Lloyd, Lucy Guerin and Stephanie Lake since 2003.

In this IN FOCUS session for Dance (Lens), he screens excerpts from Composite Acts (2019) and Half Brother (2013), with choreography by Jo Lloyd. In conversation with collaborator Arabella Frahn-Starkie, and Dance (Lens) curator Siobhan Murphy, David will discuss how visual design is embedded within the themes and concepts of his practice and how it helps create an on-screen world for the dance.
