Kids Ballet — Adagio Ballet Studio

Kids Ballet

An 8-week ballet class series for children from the Mongolian community in Melbourne. The classes will run weekly for 8 weeks per term, with public registration. The focus is on beginner-friendly technique, confidence-building, and creative movement under the professional ballet teacher.

 

Duurenjargal (Duuree) Chinbat is a ballet dancer, teacher, and arts professional. A former soloist with the Mongolian State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet, she has over a decade of professional stage experience. Duuree is the founder and lead teacher of Adagio Ballet Studio, where she delivers structured ballet education for children and adults, alongside inclusive community projects such as Dream Ballet for underprivileged children. She is currently completing a Master of Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne, integrating artistic practice with leadership, education, and sustainable cultural development.

Accessibility
Classes are located in Skylab and are only accessible via two flights of stairs. Participants or carers with specific access needs are encouraged to contact us in advance to discuss suitability and alternatives.

This class is designed for children and young participants with basic to intermediate movement ability. Activities are structured progressively, with clear demonstrations and individual guidance provided. Modifications can be offered to support different learning speeds and physical abilities.

Participants should wear comfortable dance attire that allows free movement (e.g. leotard, leggings, tights, fitted t-shirt). Ballet shoes or socks are recommended. Hair should be tied back securely.

All essential equipment will be provided. Participants may bring a water bottle. No additional props are required unless advised in advance.

Participants should inform the instructor of any injuries, medical conditions, or support needs before the class so appropriate adjustments can be made.
