Dancehouse is finally realising an important strategic milestone; the acquisition of additional studios for our dance artists and communities. 

Dancehouse Studios Brunswick offers two new boutique dance studio spaces for use by Dancehouse artists and communities at our affordable rates.

Open between 8am-10pm, 7-days per week, both the East Studio (55m2) and West Studio (64m2) feature floor to ceiling windows for natural light and ventilation, sprung floor with dark oak overlay, sheer curtains, portable sound systems, wifi, and can be accessed with Dancehouse supplied door codes.

Dancehouse remains our home and headquarters in Carlton North where we will continue to focus on producing and presenting dance by, for, and with independent dance artists, communities, and audiences. In addition to ad hoc space hire and availability at Dancehouse, our studio availability is greatly extended by Dancehouse Studios Brunswick where research, rehearsal, class, and play can continue uninterrupted by Dancehouse presentations and events.

Dancehouse Brunswick Studios are across the road from Anstey Station (Upfield Line), and on the Upfield bike bath, and are within walking distance to buses and the 19 Tram on Sydney Road. Surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurants, and services.

Located on the ground floor within Nightingale Wurru wurru biik, the building is energy efficient, fossil-fuel free, powered by solar, and supplemented by 100% certified GreenPower.

Dancehouse Studios Brunswick are fully accessible for wheelchairs users, and also feature extensive bike parking, accessible bathrooms and showers.
