What happens at Scratch Night?

Each session is 90 minutes and will feature 4-5 ‘scratch’ screenings of works in progress through a set format.

Works are selected by the Scratch Night hosts and Dancehouse from Expression of Interest.

Following a short introduction for each session, the host will invite the dance-filmmaker/s to present what they’re showing for 2 minutes and to identify what sort of feedback they are seeking. Following the maximum 6 minute screening, the host facilitates a 10 minute feedback discussion.

There are up to 10 “Scratch” sharing opportunities across the two sessions. Participation is free for artists sharing their works.
