With a notable presence in esteemed competitions like RedBull BCOne Australia cyphers and Destructive Steps, Emmy Li is respected as both a Bgirl and community leader in both Canada and Australia. Emmy’s commitment to community development manifested in founding initiatives such as YYC Hustle and The Breaks YYC, offering free lessons and breaking classes for underprivileged females in Calgary, YYC.
Upon relocating to Australia in 2019, Emmy continued her impact by organizing renowned battles and co-founding The Steezy Walrus Initiative in 2021 alongside Fauntine Lariba, Australia’s first non-profit clothing brand dedicated to supporting local street artists and building the street dance community. Through events like Out for the Clout, Ocean Grooves Online COVID Battle and The Til Death Do We Cypher Battle Series, Emmy aims to preserve cypher culture within breaking, and propel the Australian breaking community forward, fostering inclusivity and breaking gender barriers.
