Dancehouse is on Wurundjeri Country. We offer our respects to the Wurundjeri woi-wurrung people — and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people — who continue to dance on Country, and have done, for thousands of generations. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Join Vicki Van Hout in this practice-based workshop for choreographers and dance makers. Vicki will guide participants through her own creative practice and share tools accumulated over a career spanning more than 20 years. Participants will be encouraged to push their creative boundaries by sampling new aesthetics within their practice; inverting gendered forms; merging traditional forms with the contemporary; and questioning appropriation and assumed knowledge.

Choose between two workshops (same content, different times): a two-part evening workshop, or an all-day workshop, and innovate your own choreographic processes with one of Australia’s leading independent artists.
