Dancehouse is on Wurundjeri Country. We offer our respects to the Wurundjeri woi-wurrung people — and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people — who continue to dance on Country, and have done, for thousands of generations. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Contemporary Combinations

Challenge your creativity as a dancer, and let’s dance together for the sheer fun of it! Join Kim Vincs, Angelina Nicole and other guest artists as we explore extended contemporary dance phrases that aim to move, inspire and challenge us!

These classes are suitable for experienced adult dancers, including older dancers and those returning to dance after time/injury. A short warm up (approx. 15 minutes) will be followed by learning, exploring and dancing 2-3 choreographed contemporary phrases. The material assumes an intermediate/advanced dance background, and dancers should have the capacity to modify movement according to their individual needs. These are not meant to replace technique classes—please protect yourself from injury by arriving warmed up and ready to move!

We hope you will join us for this collective, collaborative and joyous dance exploration!
