Dancehouse stands on what always was and always will be Aboriginal land. We pay our respects to the traditional owners of this land, the Wurundjeri peoples of the Kulin Nation, to their Elders past and present, and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded.

FRAME: A biennial of dance

In March 2023, experience a new festival of dance; an evolving and transformative congregation for audiences, makers and presenters.

FRAME: A biennial of dance is an invitation to celebrate and connect; to assemble, discuss, participate and witness dance across myriad cultures, forms and styles.

Following three years of consultation with the independent dance community and small-to-medium sector, FRAME is co-led and co-designed by an unprecedented number of independent artists and producers.

FRAME’s inaugural program to be announced early February features performances, talks, workshops presented by Dancehouse, Arts House, Bunjil Place, Centre for Projection Art, Chunky Move, Darebin Arts Speakeasy, Lucy Guerin Inc, Punctum, The Australian Ballet, The Substation, Temperance Hall, and more.

Visit the FRAME website, sign up to the e-newsletter and follow the festival on Facebook and Instagram to discover and explore the program in depth.
