Dancehouse is on Wurundjeri Country. We offer our respects to the Wurundjeri woi-wurrung people — and to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people — who continue to dance on Country, and have done, for thousands of generations. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.

Hello community members,

Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak and government restrictions, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that Burn City Waack’s 8 Year Anniversary event will be cancelled. We will be coming back with some new exciting projects further towards the latter end of the year. For now, we just temporarily require a break for ourselves so that we’re able to come back reinvigorated and deliver the best event possible. We’re truly thankful to everyone who has been supportive so far and thank you all for your understanding. We look forward to being able to welcome you back with another exciting event and hope everyone stays safe until then

With love,

Burn City Waack

The event includes tributes, showcases, freestyle performances and exciting battles.  Burn City Waack 8 Year Anniversary is about celebrating the diverse Waacking community but also an invitation for everyone to join and be a part of it.

Includes DJ Naru on the decks with judges from fellow Dancehousing members, Jam on Toast.
