Lola Borroni is a 24-year-old contemporary dance artist and choreographer, born in France, raised in Namibia (the Land of the Brave), and currently based in Naarm. Lola has had the pleasure to collaborate with independent artists, Including Kimball Wong, Chimene Steele-Prior, Max Burgess and Stephanie Lake. In 2026 she co-created a duo work with Hannah Vella for Out of Bounds supported by Dancehouse and Lucy Guerin Inc. Her artistic practice is grounded in storytelling through the body, using repetition, loops, sequencing, and progression as key compositional tools. Improvisation is central to her practice, serving both as a method of movement generation and as a structural framework shaped by an evolving process. This approach allows her movement to never be locked into one set shape or outcome, but to remain continuously shifting and responsive in nature. She honours her lineage and diverse background through articulation and isolation while merging contemporary and groove-based movement.

Hannah Vella is an emerging queer contemporary artist and choreographer based in Naarm. Hannah has worked with artists including Kimball Wong, Chimene Steele-Prior, Jo Lloyd and Stephanie Lake. In 2025 she created a work for co-exist collective and in 2026 co-created a duo for Out of bounds with Lola Borroni, supported by Dancehouse and Lucy Guerin Inc. Her artistic practice explores gestural movement with an interest in accented rhythms and how that can be disrupted and transformed over time. She is particularly interested in the relationship between movement and visual space, considering shape, composition, and the ways bodies interact with one another and their surroundings.
